Superlite CMS
Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in to Superlite. It gives you a quick overview of the current state of the website and helps you identify content or system issues that may need attention.
The Dashboard is intentionally simple. Superlite is not designed to be an analytics platform. The purpose of the Dashboard is to show useful information about the website and the CMS itself.
Pages
The Dashboard shows the number of pages currently stored in Superlite.
Pages are normally used for permanent website content such as About, Contact, Services and other sections of the site.
The number includes the pages managed by the CMS, regardless of whether every page is currently published.
You can open the Pages section from the main navigation to view and manage them.
Articles
The Dashboard also shows the number of articles stored in Superlite.
Articles are intended for content such as blog posts, news, guides and other content that is normally published as part of an article section.
Open Articles from the main navigation to create, edit or manage articles.
Drafts
The Drafts section helps you find content that has been started but has not yet been published.
A draft is stored in Superlite but is not available to visitors on the public website.
This is useful when you are working on a page or article over several sessions, or when content needs to be reviewed before publication.
Publishing a draft generates the public HTML version of that content.
Recently changed content
The Dashboard can show content that has recently been edited.
This makes it easier to return to pages or articles that you have been working on without searching through the complete content list.
The most recently changed content is based on changes stored by Superlite. It does not necessarily mean that the content has been published.
A page can therefore appear as recently changed while the public version remains unchanged.
Active theme
The Dashboard shows which theme is currently active.
The active theme controls how Superlite renders the public website. It determines the layout, design and presentation of pages and articles.
Changing the theme does not change the original content stored in Superlite.
If you activate another theme, the site can be rebuilt using the same content with the new theme.
Themes can be managed under Appearance.
Active modules
The Dashboard shows the modules that are currently active.
Modules add functionality that is not part of the Superlite core. Examples can include integrations with external services or additional editing and publishing tools.
Only activated modules can add their functionality to Superlite.
You can install, activate, deactivate and manage modules from the Modules section.
If a feature that you expect to use is missing, checking whether the required module is active is a useful first troubleshooting step.
Latest build
Superlite generates static files for the public website.
The Dashboard shows information about the latest build so that you can see whether the public site has recently been generated successfully.
A normal publication usually rebuilds only the parts of the website affected by the change.
For example, publishing one page does not normally require every page on the site to be generated again.
Some changes, such as activating a new theme, may require a full site rebuild.
System errors
The Dashboard can display system errors or warnings detected by Superlite.
These messages are intended to alert you when something may prevent the CMS from working correctly.
An error can relate to publishing, file permissions, modules, builds or other parts of the system.
If an error appears, read the message before making further changes. Superlite is designed so that a failed build should not replace a working public page with a broken or incomplete file.
More detailed technical information can also be written to the system logs.
Using the Dashboard
The Dashboard is most useful as a starting point when you log in.
You can quickly check whether there are unfinished drafts, return to recently edited content, confirm which theme and modules are active and see whether the latest build completed successfully.
For editing content or changing settings, continue to the relevant section from the main navigation.
